What is a bead mill?

The structure of vertical bead mill is mainly composed of feeding system, grinding drum, grinding disc, transmission system and electric control system.
Its working principle: The solid-liquid mixture material that is first dispersed and wetted is fed into the cylinder from the upper feed pipe of the sand mill through the metering pump, and the motor drives the disperser on the main shaft to rotate to generate kinetic energy, and the grinding medium of the material and the cylinder is They are stirred by the rotating disperser together, so that the solid particles in the material and the grinding medium have strong collision, friction and shearing effects, and the material particles between the medium are deformed by force and generate a stress field.
When the stress is too large, plastic deformation or crushing occurs. The unpulverized particles are thrown to the wall of the sand mill by centrifugal force. The density of the grinding medium in this area is high, which strengthens the pulverization effect. The pulverized fine particles are separated from the grinding medium by the separator and flow out from the discharge pipe.

The nano bead mill actually uses a special turbo disperser for grinding. It is used in high-efficiency grinding and dispersing equipment for paints, water-based coatings, cosmetics, food, daily chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries.

Cell fragmentation can be achieved by a high-speed bead mill, which is composed of a series of rotating discs and glass. The cell suspension was stirred at a very high speed. During operation, the grinding chamber is almost filled with grinding beads, with the optimum concentration of ballotini usually being 70–90% of the volume of the chamber.
